Man, 34, Turns Gun On Himself At

A 34-year-old Queens, NY man shot and killed himself at a popular Union County gun range early this week, authorities confirmed. Union Township officers responded to RTSP on Route 22 east around 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 28, where they found the man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Police Capt.Pietro DiGena said. The victim was identified as a customer of the establishment. His name was not released. Man, 22, Critical After Self-Inflicted Union County Gun Range Shooting
A 22-year-old man who turned the gun on himself over the weekend at a Union County shooting range was in critical condition Monday, authorities said. The man had gone to RTSP on Route 22 with three friends when he fired three shots down the range, then shot himself around 7:20 p.m. Saturday, Union Township Police Director Dan Zieser said. The unidentified victim was taken to University Medical Center in Newark, where he remained in critical condition, Zieser said.

Randolph Firearms Safety Officer Shot Himself In Leg With Handgun, Report Says
A man who shot himself in the leg during a Randolph firearms training course was a gun safety officer, according to a new report. Gun safety officer Martin Beresford shot himself in his left thigh last month while attempting to holster his personal Springfield Armory .45 caliber handgun at RTSP on Route 10, the Daily Record reports. The bullet traveled several inches before shooting out of his leg above the knee, the article says, sighting police documents.
