Corvette Ragtop Toasted In Ridgewood Garage Fire
A Corvette convertible was essentially incinerated in a Ridgewood garage fire. The owner apparently was charging the battery of the white 2017 Stingray when the blaze ignited in the detached home garage on Ackerman Avenue, down the block from Van Dyk's Homemade Ice Cream, around 7 p.m. Saturday, April 22. Mini School Bus, SUV Collide In Ridgewood
PHOTOS: Two teens and their minibus driver emerged unscathed from a crash in Ridgewood. The school bus was en route from Midland Park to Paramus when it collided with a BMW SUV and ended up on the sidewalk at the corner of Northern Parkway and East Glen Avenue around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25. Ridgewood police and firefighters responded, as both boys and their driver watched from across the street. The BMW driver also checked out OK and no medics were called. Ridgewood Firefighters Free Driver In Crash
Ridgewood firefighters freed a driver who was trapped in her sedan following a collision with another vehicle. The extricated Toyota Camry driver was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening following the afternoon crash at the intersection of East Glen and Van Emburgh avenues on Monday, Nov. 21. Bricks Fall From Ridgewood Building
No one was hurt when several bricks fell from the facade of a Ridgewood building. The bricks on the three-story building on East Ridgewood Avenue that houses a ground-level Citibank branch with apartments above gave way shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday, March 6. Ridgewood police, firefighters and emergency services workers responded, along with village Building Department Director Anthony Merlino. A driver was injured in a three-vehicle collision in Ridgewood. A Kia minivan slammed head-on into a utility pole and an Audi A4 collided with both the minivan and a Honda Accord on South Maple Avenue at Dayton Street shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15. One Hospitalized After SUV Barrels Into Paramus Home
An occupant was seriously injured Sunday when an SUV slammed into a Paramus home near the Ridgewood border. Unconfirmed reports were that another vehicle may have been involved in the afternoon crash with the Honda CR-V just off Route 17. A Ridgewood EMS ambulance that was first at the scene took the victim to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Car Rolls, Topples Utility Pole On Route 17
A car careened off Route 17, rolled and toppled a utility pole Monday night. No serious injuries were reported in the crash on the southbound highway near Franklin Turnpike in Ridgewood around 7:30 p.m. Ridgewood firefighters freed an occupant from the vehicle, which landed on its side on the shoulder. Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Ridgewood Crash
A bicyclist was seriously injured Thursday in a crash with a sedan in Ridgewood. Passing members of the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps tended to the victim at the intersection of Grove Street and South Van Dien Avenue shortly after 6 p.m. until their village colleagues arrived. Crash Sends Jeep Into Ridgewood Building
A Monday morning crash in Ridgewood sent a Jeep into the front of an office building. Both drivers sustained injuries in the collision at the intersection of Dayton Street and South Maple Avenue that responders said didn't appear life-threatening. Ridgewood police, firefighters and EMS responded. A flatbed tow truck removed both vehicles from the scene. Damage to the office building appeared cosmetic only. Boyd A. A man was seriously injured after an SUV slammed into a parked utility trailer he was in Wednesday afternoon in Ridgewood.
