Five Jersey City Victims Identified In Deadly Newark Crash: Prosecutor
Five of the victims in a fiery Newark crash that killed six people earlier this month have been identified, authorities said. At 10:47 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, a vehicle carrying six people was traveling on Raymond Boulevard toward the Route 1&9 southbound on-ramp, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens II said. The vehicle then veered off the roadway, went airborne, and struck a support column for the Pulaski Skyway, Stephens said. Lamar McKnight, 31, has been identified as the driver. Possible Bomb Threat Temporarily Closes Pulaski Skyway In Jersey City
Reports of a suspicious package/possible bomb threat that closed the Pulaski Skyway in Jersey City Saturday was apparently deemed unfounded. The eastbound side was closed as of 5 p.m., with Newark police's helicopter apparently called to the scene. Have photos? Newark Police Release Details In Death Of Linden's Jeffrey Mendoza
A 20-year-old Linden who had been missing for more than a week was found dead in Newark after falling from the Pulaski Skyway into an automobile yard, authorities said March 3. A widespread search was launched for Jeffrey Mendoza after he was reported missing around 9:45 p.m. Feb. 21.
