The popular fast food eatery, home to its famous chicken sandwiches and for always being closed on Sunday, has an application before the planning board in Bridgewater to open a location at the Towne Square Shopping Center on Route 202. Costco Submits Plans For Route 17 Site Of Shuttered Stop & Shop In Paramus, Mayor Says
The future of the shuttered Stop & Shop at the border of Ridgewood on Route 17 in Paramus is becoming clearer. On Thursday, Aug. 22, Paramus Mayor Chris DiPiazza announced Costco submitted plans for the site. Stop & Shop shuttered in 2022 while Kmart closed in 2021. "Well, it is official," the mayor wrote on Facebook. "As of this morning Costco Wholesale has submitted their plans to the Planning Board for a location on Rt. 17S (the Stop & Shop/KMart)." Applications from a dozen cannabis dispensaries including a possible new lounge are being reviewed at a special Planning Board meeting Monday, March 28 in Jersey City, Jersey Digs reports. Wawa Approved In Wayne, 4 Other NJ Locations Opening Soon
Wawa is coming to Wayne. The township's Planning Board on Monday unanimously approved plans for the convenience store and gas station at the former site of Nagel's Candy Barn on Route 23. The 4,736-square-foot convenience store comes with eight fuel pumps with two dispensers each. Nagel's Candy Barn closed in 2015 after the owner got sick, after nearly 60 years in business. BJ's Wholesale Could Replace Vacant Sears Store In Willowbrook Mall
BJ's Wholesale Club has its sights set on the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne. NYC real estate investment trust Seritage Growth Properties that owns portions of the mall submitted its application for the 105,031-square-foot space formerly occupied by Sears to the Planning Board, NorthJersey.com reports. Restaurants Proposed For Paramus Stop & Shop Site Redevelopment
Developers of the Stop & Shop property on Route 17 in Paramus are hoping to have a new grocery store and dining options approved by borough officials next month. An Applebee's, Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell and Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas would open in five free-standing buildings proposed for the site, currently leased by indoor sports facility The Arena, NorthJersey.com reports.
