Cliffside Park Squatter Becomes 2nd Homeless Freezing Death In Bergen County In A Week
A homeless man was found frozen to death in an abandoned building in Cliffside Park, the second such victim in eastern Bergen County in under a week, authorities said. Like him, four other squatters in the apartments above a vacant Palisade Avenue storefront near the Fairview border were heavily intoxicated when they were found around noon Wednesday, Police Capt. Cliffside Park Police Car Hits, Seriously Injures Pedestrian
A Cliffside Park police car struck and seriously injured a drunken pedestrian before dawn Tuesday, authorities confirmed. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office was in the preliminary stages, they said, adding that any information would come from Acting Prosecutor Dennis Calo.
