Bergen County sheriff's officers captured a New York City fugitive after authorities said he shot his pregnant girlfriend and then carjacked an SUV at gunpoint from a 72-year-old driver outside a local 7-Eleven. Winning Lottery Tickets Sold In Bergen, Essex Counties
A pair of lottery tickets each good for $10,000 were sold in Bergen and Essex counties. The tickets from Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn. The tickets were sold at the 7-Eleven on Palisades Avenue in Bogota and Lou's Corner Liquor Mart in Newark. The winning numbers were 07, 10, 15, 31, and 57. Body Of Missing Bogota Man, 48, Recovered From Hackensack River
UPDATE: A body recovered Thursday afternoon from the Hackensack River was that of a Bogota man who went missing last week, responders said. He'd been in the water for several days, they said. Felix Enrique Martinez, 48, left his home and headed toward Palisades Avenue last Thursday morning (Aug. 20), borough police said at the time. He appeared in need of medical attention, they said. HIM? Police Seek Help Finding Missing Bogota Man
Authorities turned to the public for help Thursday finding a missing 48-year-old Bogota man. Felix E. Martinez left his home and headed toward Palisades Avenue around 7 a.m. Wednesday, borough police said. He "may be in need of medical attention," they said. Authorities asked residents and merchants to check their surveillance systems for possible images of Martinez.
