Boy, 16, Struck, Seriously Injured By Pickup In New Milford
A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was struck by a pickup truck Tuesday night in New Milford, authorities confirmed. The boy was apparently headed across Madison Avenue at River Road when he was struck by the utility company vehicle shortly before 6 p.m., Police Chief Brian Clancy said. An ambulance from Holy Name Medical Center took him to Hackensack University Medical Center with what the chief said were serious injuries. A brand-new video shows two pigs fighting a black bear that crawled into their pen in Connecticut. WTNH, the ABC-TV affiliate in New Haven, published the video on Friday, March 18, which was sent from the owner of the pigs in the Litchfield County town of New Milford. The Ring camera footage shows the pigs fighting and chasing away a black bear after the bear crawled into their pen. The owner, Kevin David, told the news outlet the pigs are doing well and he believes the bear is a cub. Watch the full video on the WTNH YouTube channel.

Community Rallies For New Milford Single Mom Battling Cancer
The New Milford community is rallying to support a local single mom who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Mother of two Lisa Tobler was diagnosed with esophagus cancer last month and is undergoing chemotherapy, according to a GoFundMe created for the family. More than $7,600 had been donated as of Monday morning. The funds will help with medical expenses and transportation to and from Lisa’s treatment facility at Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhattan.
