Gunman In Hillside Homicide Nabbed At Newark Airport, Prosecutor Says A 30-year-old Newark man was arrested at Newark Airport Wednesday morning in connection with the killing of a 31-year-old Hillside man last month, authorities announced. Darrius L. Easterling is accused of shooting Steven Zimmerman on the 1400 block of North Broad Street around 10 p.m. July 22, Union County Prosecutor William A. Update: Woman Walking On Highway Killed By Car In Hillside, Police Say A woman walking on Route 22 died after after being hit by a car Thursday night in Hillside, authorities confirmed Friday. Al Mujadilah Baxter, 50, of Newark, was struck around 5:45 on the eastbound side of the highway and pronounced dead en route to the hospital, Hillside Police Detective Natalie Ogonowski said. It was not immediately clear why Baxter was walking on the highway. The incident occurred at Bloy Street, and closed all lanes for several hours due to the investigation.
