: Search For Linguini The Chiweenie Continues After Ridgewood House Fire
A Ridgewood couple continued searching for their missing dog following a house fire at their home. "Our Chiweenie, Linguini, is still missing," Tess Zaorski said on Tuesday, Dec. 12, a day after the kitchen fire considerably damaged her and her husband Wyatt's Liberty Street home. A Chiweenie is a cross between a Chihuahua and a dachshund. Ridgewood firefighters quickly doused the two-alarm blaze Monday afternoon. Although no injuries were reported, Linguini went missing. A search continued in earnest for a 9-year-old rescue who got away from his Emerson home. Shaggy is a Schweenie -- a dachshund/shih tzu mix -- who wasn't wearing a collar when he went missing in Emerson around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13. He's also quite fearful. Two women were airlifted to area hospitals and at least four dogs were missing following an explosion in Vineland Wednesday, multiple news outlets were reporting. Police rescued one person from the rubble while the other walked out of the Cornucopia Avenue home her own around 12:30 p.m., abc6 reports. A 6-year-old Yorkie Terrier who two women picked up off a Leonia street Thursday morning brought him to Fort Lee police more than 24 hours later, authorities said. Leonia police said Friday that they were looking into why the women took the dog and why it took so long to return him. Maywood Mom Spots Missing Dog Who Survived 5 Days In Frigid Temps
MAYWOOD, N.J. — A dog who went missing in Maywood last Friday went back to her foster home Wednesday. A woman who lives on Club Way was waiting for her child to arrive home from school when she spotted the Shar-Pei mix in her yard, Ruff Rehab Inc officials told Daily Voice. The rescue sent a friend who was posting flyers down the street to retrieve the dog, who was then reunited with her foster family, officials said. Sheba is in good shape and doing well.
