Police Seek Man Who Performed Lewd Act In Hawthorne Family Dollar
Authorities in Hawthorne are hoping the public can help them identify a man accused of performing a lewd act in a local Family Dollar. The man pictured above was captured on camera walking around the store performing a lewd act in front of several employees at the Wagaraw Road store on Monday, July 1, Hawthorne Police Chief James Knepper said. The man is wanted for questioning and anyone who knows him is urged to call Hawthorne Police at (973) 427-1800.

6-Year-Old Child, Man Shot In Newark
A man in his 20s and a 6-year-old child were hospitalized after being shot on Tuesday, Nov. 1 in Newark, authorities said. Police responding to a report of shots fired on the 300 block of South Orange Avenue found the victims, who were taken to University Hospital for treatment around 7 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The incident remains under investigation. No further information was available.

A man who barricaded himself in a Ho-Ho-Kus home apparently with multiple registered firearms was hospitalized after an hour-long standoff, sources say. The Bergen County SWAT team responded to the Lakewood Avenue home just before 5 p.m., apparently as a precaution. It was not clear why authorities responded to the house. The man was later taken to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center for evaluation. It was not clear if he was charged.

Route 17 Bank In Paramus Robbed
Paramus police released surveillance photos Monday of a man who robbed a Route 17 bank on Friday wearing a hooded “Planned Parenthood” sweatshirt. The robber handed a teller at the Citibank on the northbound highway a note shortly before 2 p.m. that said to “hand over the money or [he] would begin shooting,” Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said. The teller gave the robber nearly $5,000 in cash, Ehrenberg said. The bandit then ran toward the Fashion Center parking lot, he said. No weapon was shown.
