Police Free Motorist In Utility Pole Crash That Closed Route 17
Upper Saddle River police officers broke the rear window to free a driver whose SUV landed on its side after hitting a utility pole on Route 17 during the heavy overnight rainstorm, authorities said. The 49-year-old Paterson motorist was headed south when he lost control of his Ford Explorer, which went off the roadway and hit the pole outside Jack Daniels Audi shortly after 1 a.m., Police Capt. Paramus PD: Fiery Route 4 Rollover Crash Caused By OD'ing Heroin User
A fiery Route 4 rollover crash that seriously injured a 91-year-old Maywood woman, among others, was caused by a 22-year-old Ridgewood driver who overdosed on heroin, authorities said. Police found Michael Brennan drifting out of consciousness outside his Toyota Camry after it struck several cars and a pole on the highway's westbound side between the Garden State Parkway and Paramus Road shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday, Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said. Marissa Harmon Of Hillsdale, 23, Remembered As Animal Lover
Marissa Harmon of Hillsdale died on May 16. She was 23 years old. Marissa was an animal lover, tending devoutly to her dear cats, Smokey, Bandit and Snooks. She graduated from Pascack Valley High School and most recently worked as an inventory manager for Jack Daniel's Audi in Upper Saddle River. Visitation is Monday, May 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. ad 7 to 9 p.m. at the Becker Funeral Home in Westwood.
