Sparta Man Was Drunk, Speeding In Head-On Crash That Killed Beloved Mom Of 2, Police Charge
A Sparta man was drunk and speeding when he crashed head-on into a 41-year-old mother and COVID emergency room nurse, causing her death last month, authorities charged Tuesday.
Sparta detectives charged Atilla Princz, 41, with criminal vehicular homicide, DWI, and numerous violations, Lt. John Lamon said in a release.

Video Shows Deadly 5-Car Crash That Brought Dozens Of Police Cars To Parkway
A 58-year-old Toms River resident was killed in a five-vehicle crash that closed the Garden State Parkway for hours Friday, authorities said.
The 12 p.m. crash occurred on the southbound side near milepost 96.8 in Wall Township, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. It involved a Hyundai passenger car, a GMC SUV, a Ford Transit van, a Kia SUV, and a Jeep SUV.
The GMC struck the rear of the Hyundai, then the front of the Ford collided with the GMC, the GMC collided with the Kia, and the Kia collided with the Jeep, Marchan said.

NY Woman Dead In I-280 Crash
One person died and another was injured in a crash on Route 280 in Essex County Tuesday evening, authorities said.
A tractor trailer, a Scion, Hyundai SUV, Toyota Camry, and a Honda Accord were traveling west when the tractor struck the back of the Scion, causing a chain reaction with the other two cars around 3:30 p.m. near milepost 12.6, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said.
The Scion driver, Nicole A. Greco, 51, of Chester, NY, was killed.
The Hyundai driver, Daniel Clark, 36, of Scotch Plains, suffered moderate injuries.

Police: Garfield Driver Seriously Injures Bicyclist, 14, Crashes Into Oncoming SUV
A Garfield motorist seriously injured a 14-year-old bicyclist, then struck an oncoming car with her sedan, authorities said.
The 69-year-old driver didn't see the boy in the crosswalk after she stopped her Hyundai Sonata on Wilson Street and made a right turn onto Outwater Lane shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday, Capt. Richard Uram said.
She inadvertently hit the gas, crashing the Hyundai into an oncoming Honda CRV driven by a 38-year-old Lodi man on Outwater, Uram said.
