Details Released In Maplewood Stabbing, Arson A woman recently released from some type of institution is believed to have stabbed herself and set multiple fires in her Maplewood home the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 7, sources with direct knowledge of the incident tell Daily Voice. Responders at the scene on Maplewood Avenue noted some type of hoarding situation, sources said. A spokesperson with the prosecutors office said only that detectives with the major crimes unit were responding and that the incident was not a homicide.

Firefighters had to rip the front door off the East Lanza Court residence to gain entry, witnesses said. What appeared to be the smell of ammonia prompted a call for a hazardous materials unit, they added. Fire Ravages Clutter-Filled Teaneck Home Flames roared through the upper-floor windows of a Teaneck home that responders said was filled with clutter. No injuries were reported in the two-alarm Beverly Road blaze, which broke out around 10:30 p.m. Friday amid what responders said were hoarding conditions. Hackensack and Englewood firefighters joined their Teaneck colleagues at the scene, while those from Bergenfield, Bogota and Ridgefield Park covered the township. No immediate official cause had been disclosed.
