Dana La Torre was feeling fine and then suddenly had a headache, felt numbness in her arm and fell unconscious, according to a GoFundMe. She was rushed to the emergency room where doctors told her family she had an AVM that had ruptured. An AVM is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain.
