Four armed burglars were arrested on Monday, Feb. 10, after a break-in led to a pursuit in North Caldwell, authorities said.
At 3:39 a.m., while responding to a home on Robin Hill Road for a break-in, officers saw a white BMW X3 speeding down the street, North Caldwell police said. The vehicle crossed a lawn and sideswiped a North Caldwell Police patrol vehicle before continuing on and crashing into a residence on Park Avenue, police said.

A 39-year-old Morris County man was found hiding out in a garage loft after breaking into a local home, authorities said.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious male that entered a home on George Cobb Lane in Lincoln Park around 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, police said in a release on Monday, July 11.
A follow-up investigation and search of the area led to the discovery of Bazyt M. Bergus Jr., who was found hiding in a garage loft with property that had been stolen from the home, police said.

Neighbor Busts Woman Wanted Out Of Philly Burglarizing Montclair Home, Police Say
Montclair police interrupted a woman with arrest warrants in Philadelphia and Union, NJ during a burglary Sunday, authorities said.
A woman later identified as Emilia Vargas, 35, of Newark, was spotted by a Highpoint Terrace homeowner near his neighbor's house, which he knew was vacant, Montclair Police Sgt. Terence Turner said.
Responding officers saw an open rear door to the home and found Vargas inside, Turner said.
She was placed under arrest and charged with criminal trespass. She was also found to have outstanding warrants from Philadelphia, PA and Union Township, NJ.
Glen Rock PD: Wyckoff Woman Set Fire To Train Station Building
A Wyckoff woman broke windows and set fire to the Glen Rock building that houses the local VFW and Historical Society before dawn Saturday, said police who charged her with arson, among other counts.
Police and firefighters responding to the Main Line train station, which houses both, found the door on fire, windows broken and various other damage, Lt. Frank Riggio said.
