A missing Rockland County girl died when she was struck on the Garden State Parkway by two vehicles -- one of which kept going -- just before dawn Thursday, authorities said. The 14-year-old victim from Chestnut Ridge was pronounced dead on the darkened southbound highway near Exit 171 south of the James Gandolfini Service Area in Montvale shortly after 5 a.m. Nov. 16, they said. Three SUVs were involved in a crash that rolled one of them in Franklin Lakes. An occupant of the overturned Chevy Tahoe was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood for evaluation following the noontime crash Thursday, June 15, at the intersection of Ewing Avenue and Franklin Lake Road. A 36-year-old Jersey City woman struck five vehicles in her Chevy Tahoe before her vehicle came to a stop, and her lifeless body was found behind the wheel, authorities said. Desiree Milow's Chevy Tahoe collided with the five cars along Garfield Avenue between Danforth Avenue and Wegman Parkway, just before noon Sunday, May 28, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Family of a 23-year-old man killed in a Newark crash say he was left to die after friends bailed from the scene. Tahir Knox was removed from a Nissan Altima that lost control and struck a Chevy Tahoe on Bergen Street, after being struck by an eastbound BMW on Avon Avenue around 2 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Hundreds Lose Power When SUV Splits Utility Pole Near Rockland Border
Utility companies worked to restore power and phone service after an SUV split and toppled a pole Monday in Upper Saddle River. The Chevy Tahoe was headed west on Lake Street when its 71-year-old driver lost control and it struck the pole off Sturbridge Drive, near the Montvale and Rockland borders, around 10 a.m. He was OK, but lines were downed, power was knocked out to 200 or so customers and the pole had to be replaced, Police Capt. Edward Kane said. The SUV had to be towed. Eastbound Lake Street was closed for about 90 minutes.

Authorities were looking for the driver of a hit-and-run pickup truck that slammed into a Fairview police vehicle before dawn Sunday. The rented Chevy Tahoe slammed into the rear driver's side corner of the marked SUV directly across from police headquarters, Chief Martin Kahn said. Sedan Flips SUV, Hits Empty School Bus In Mahwah
No serious injuries were reported after a sedan struck an SUV -- sending it rolling -- and then careened into an empty school bus outside a Mahwah housing development early Wednesday. A Chevy Tahoe was headed north on Campgaw Road when it was struck by a BMW that had just pulled out of the Rio Vista development, responders said.
