: Bergen Doc Admits Buying Cancer Drugs For Multi-Million-Dollar Black Market Resale
An Elmwood Park doctor admitted buying discounted prescription drugs used to treat cancer and other diseases so they could be sold for tens of millions of dollars on the black market, federal authorities said. Jon-Paul Dadaian, 53, a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist from Manhattan, used his medical license to buy the oncology medications under false pretenses "for the purpose of selling them for profit," U.S. Attorney Philip R. Jersey Shore Bomber Gets 3rd Life Sentence For Trying To Kill Linden Officers Who Caught Him
A wannabe terrorist from Elizabeth who’s already serving double-life in federal prison received yet another lifetime sentence for trying to kill five Linden police officers who captured him after he detonated bombs at the Jersey Shore and in New York City in 2016. Superior Court jurors in Elizabeth last October convicted Ahmad K. Rahami, 31, of five counts of attempted murder -- one for each of the officers -- as well as aggravated assault and weapons offenses. On Friday, State Superior Court Judge John M. Fairway Market stores in New Jersey could stay open, after all. Although the New York Post on Wednesday reported the New York City grocer planned on filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy and closing all 14 of its locations, Fairway apparently has new plans in place. Fairway -- which has stores in Paramus and Woodland Park -- filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Thursday, after denying The Post's report of filing for Chapter 7 Wednesday.
