Man's Torso Found In Elizabeth River, Homicide Investigation Launched A torso was recovered in waters of the Elizabeth River on Tuesday, May 16, authorities said. A homicide investigation has been launched following the discovery made where the river meets the Arthur Kill, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel, Elizabeth Police Director Earl Graves and Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca said on Thursday, May 18. Body On Elizabeth Waterfront May Be Missing Jumper, Police Say A body was found Wednesday morning on a waterfront in Elizabeth, authorities said. The individual was believed to be the same person who crews were looking for late last week in the Arthur Kill, Elizabeth Police Spokeswoman Ruby Contreras said. As of 12:30 p.m., rescue crews were on scene at the Harbor Front Plaza.

Crews Recover Body Of Jumper Floating In Arthur Kill Rescue crews responded to a jumper's body in the Arthur Kill Friday morning, authorities said. The PAPD and NYPD Marine units were working to recover the body near the Veterans Marina as of 10:15 a.m., responders told Daily Voice. The incident was initially reported around 9:40 a.m. Elizabeth police spokeswoman said the man had jumped but the incident was under investigation.
