“This is a proud moment in the history of Felician," Felician President Anne Prisco said.

"Our vision of becoming a university spans many years and was made possible by the hard work and steadfast commitment of the Felician Sisters and our dedicated faculty, staff, alums and supporters,” Prisco said.

“State approval makes it official and recognizes what Felician has already become,” she said.

University designation more accurately reflects Felician’s range and quality of academic offerings, Prisco said.

Felician offers more than 16 graduate programs across all disciplines, two doctoral programs and undergraduate programs in arts and sciences, business, education and nursing.

Felican University is at 262 S. Main St.
