A witness reported seeing all three kick in an air-conditioning unit to get into the Jackson Place home around 2 p.m., Lt. Robert Salerno said.

The witness said they then took off in a Chrysler 300 with Pennsylvania license plates, he said.

Police stopped the car five blocks away, Salerno said.

Steven Zamuria, 18, of Little Ferry, and Airon Tanon, 19, of Lodi, were charged with burglary, criminal mischief and manufacturing/distributing drugs -- namely, marijuana in several plastic locking bags in a clear glass jar.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence at the burglary scene.

Salerno credited the good Samaritan for notifying police, while repeating a familiar law enforcement request: "If you see something, say something.”
