Found! Lodi Girl, 16, Turns Up In Paterson

LODI, N.J. -- A 16-year-old Lodi girl who was the subject of a missing-persons search -- and also vanished briefly a little over a year ago -- was found in Paterson, police said.

Paterson police located Jakira Jeffrey -- also known as Jakira Waddell -- around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Lodi Police Detective Legrand Castro told Daily Voice.

She'd been gone five days.

Jakira was supposedly headed to the Rainbow Clothing Store on Washington Street in Lodi when she was last seen at 7:30 p.m. last Saturday, authorities said.
