Boy, 4, unknowingly shares dad’s cocaine with daycare friends

Just because they call it “nose candy” doesn’t mean cocaine is for kids, but a 4-year-old New Jersey boy who didn’t know any better shared it with his friends at daycare.

One child ingested the coke but didn’t suffer harm, authorities said.

An alert teacher called authorities after seeing one of the children with a small bag in her mouth.

All four kids — three boys and a girl, all 4 years old — were taken to a hospital. Meanwhile, police searched the boy’s pockets and found more coke.

He told them his dad had told him it was “packets of candy,” so when his classmates asked him for some, he gave it to them.

Police have charged 25-year-old Shaheed Wright of East Orange (left) with four counts of endangerment, in addition to drug offenses. They said they have also notified the state Division of Youth and Family Services.
