Philamina A. Dopyera, 75, Formerly Of Lodi

LODI, N.J. -- Philamina A. Dopyera, 75, formerly of Lodi, died Sept. 17. She was 75. 

She was born in Lodi, and lived there for 25 years, Brooklyn for 40 years finally settling in East Chatham,N.Y. 10 years ago. 

Before retiring, she was a bookkeeper for Bell Atlantic Phone Company in Manhattan for more than 25 years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church in Brooklyn. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Lena Bua; three brothers, Tony, Charles “Butchie” and Michael Bua; one sister, Antoinette McDonald; and husband, Richard. 

She is survived by her children, Delena Schaefer and husband Warren and Joseph Dopyera and wife Anna; grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Paul and Hayle; and siblings, Louis “Peewee” and Frank Bua. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N. Main St., Lodi, with a 2 p.m. chapel service.
