Margaret 'Marge' Ficarra, 88, Garfield Resident

GARFIELD, N.J. -- Margaret "Marge" (Puzino) Ficarra, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on Friday, April 8. She was 88.

Ficarra was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, in Garfield. "Margaret absolutely loved to cook and was often remembered by people for the variety of Italian dishes she made," information from the funeral home noted. "Her favorite times were surrounding by her family."

She is survived by her son, Mario and his wife Ginny; grandchildren Rachel and Marc and his fiancee Sarah; and great-grandson Mario James. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Ficarra.

Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, April 11, at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., in Garfield. The funeral will arrive at the funeral home at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, followed by a 9 a.m. mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, in Garfield. Interment will be at St. Michael's Cemetery, in South Hackensack.
