LODI, N.J. -- Joyce B. Norkett, 83, of Lodi, died Sept. 10. She was 83.
She was born and raised in London and she came to the United States in 1956, settling in Lodi.
Before retiring, she was a seamstress and shop steward at Supercraft Coats in Garfield. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. and a volunteer at the Lodi Boys & Girls Club Bingo Hall.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Norkett, Brian Norkett; step-daughter, AnnMarie Petrosino; and grandson, Michael Friend.
She was predeceased by her son, Stephen Norkett; and her companion, Michael Calandriello.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 Main St., Lodi, with an 11:30 a.m. chapel service. Private cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
