LODI, N.J. -- Frank Paternostro, 95, of Lodi, died Sept. 12. He was 95.
He was born and raised in Alessandria della Rocca, Sicily-Italy for 27 years; he emigrated to Garfield for 12 years settling in Lodi 56 years ago.
He was an asphalt laborer for 40 years, retiring in 1987, and a member of the Laborers’ International Union of North America- Local 1018, Flushing, He also was a member of the St. Ciro Society in Garfield and a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church in Garfield.
He was predeceased by his wife, Maria Anna.
He is survived by his daughter, Maria Di Dino and husband Joseph; grandchild, Joseph Di Dino; and great-grandchild, Roxanne Di Dino.
Visiting will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, arriving at the funeral home and followed by a 11 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, 188 MacArthur Ave., Garfield. Entombment will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorial donations.
