The store started a liquidation sale in February leading up to the closure, spokesman Howard Riefs said.
"Store closures are part of a series of actions we’re taking to reduce on-going expenses, adjust our asset base, and accelerate the transformation of our business model," Riefs told Daily Voice.
The store has 75 employees, and those eligible will receive severence packages and have the chance to apply for open spots at other nearby Sears or KMart stores, he said.
Sears Holdings Corporation owns Kmart.
