The 16-year veterinarian has been making house calls for VETdispatch in Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Hudson and Rockland counties since 2014.

But the mobile vet company opened a hospital in Morristown last month, and Cohen-Grady will be helping to transport clients for more intensive care.

“We try to keep everything stress free,” said Cohen-Grady, a Rockland County native.

The hospital will be having an open house on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Children can bring stuffed animals for “Teddy Bear Repair" (SEE ATTACHMENT BELOW STORY).

The veterinarian knows getting a pet into the car is no easy feat. She’s visited clients with several cats in a three-story walk-up, disabled dogs and owners with five or more dogs.

The area hospital will provide VETdispatch clients with a whole new level of care.

“It’s well-received, out-of-the-box thinking,” the vet said. “It’s designed like a house, so you go right into a living room without any ringing phones.

And then afterwards, we bring the animals back to their homes.”

VETdispatch is located at 80 Washington St., Morristown.
