Retired DEA Agent Leads Garfield Discussion Of Drug Crisis

GARFIELD, N.J. -- The Garfield Prevention Coalition, an initiative of The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources, and A Program of Children’s Aid and Family Services will host a discussion concerning the current heroin and prescription drug crisis with retired Drug Enforcement Agent Doug Collier.

The program is from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Garfield High School, 500 Palisade Ave., Garfield. Parents, educators and members of law enforcement are encouraged to attend. The program is free of charge but space is limited.

The Garfield Prevention Coalition includes school professionals, business owners, youth-serving organizations and concerned community members looking to create positive change within Garfield and support residents and the city in becoming happy, healthy, and drug free.
