Jersey Fresh: Majority Of 109 New Port Authority Police Officers Hail From NJ More than 100 cadets officially became Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police officers with a joyous graduation ceremony in Middlesex County that followed a somber remembrance in lower Manhattan. The 109 graduates of the 122nd Port Authority Police Academy class push the total workforce of the bi-state agency past 2,000 in all. And a majority of those boots come from New Jersey. NYC Coffee Shop Coming To Jersey City A coffee shop with New York City roots will be moving into the space once home to Talde in Jersey City. The Hudson Hound will be opening at 8 Erie St., JerseyDigs reports. The space opened up in August 2019 when Talde closed. Hudson Hound opened on Hudson Street in Manhattan nearly two decades ago. The owners expanded, opening Trinity Bar and Restaurant near the World Trade Center four years later. The restaurant will be open for brunch on weekends, and dinner seven days a week. Nader Saadeh, 23, was among a group of men charged by federal agents with "trying to provide material support" to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), a designated foreign terrorist organization, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said. Port Authority Police At WTC Reunite Non-Verbal Missing Man With Family A missing Bronx man who couldn't speak and wasn't carrying identification seemed confused as he wandered around the 9/11 memorial in lower Manhattan before dawn Thursday. Port Authority officers assigned to the World Trade Center handed him a pen -- on which the man wrote an address that ended up reuniting him with his family. Loved ones and others distributed fliers and police had issued alerts in the search for 21-year-old Tanvir Hossain. Hossain, who's non-verbal and has schizophrenia, was last seen on Sunday.
