Lyndhurst Bicyclist Struck By Gel Pellet Fired By Van Passenger From Newark, Police Say A Newark man admitted firing a pellet from a "gel blaster" gun that struck a Lyndhurst bicyclist in the face, authorities said. The 24-year-old victim flagged down Officer Vincent Dorio in the area of Valley Brook Avenue and Grant Avenue and said he'd been struck in the face while riding along Ridge Road, Detective Lt.
