Pedestrian, 57, Struck, Injured Crossing Street In Midland Park
A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a car crossing a street in Midland Park. The 57-year-old man was in the crosswalk on Paterson Avenue at Goffle Road when he was struck around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, Midland Park Police Chief Michael Powderley said. The driver remained at the scene and was given a summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian, the chief said. The pedestrian was taken to the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with pains in his ribs and a cut on his face, responders said.

Mahwah firefighters rescued a trucker who was pinned late Monday afternoon in yet another crash on a treacherous stretch of Route 287 near the New York State border. The dump truck carrying a load of gravel plowed through a metal guardrail on the rain-soaked northbound highway's center median between Campgaw Road and Darlington Avenue shortly before 3:30 p.m. on 9/11, responders said. UPDATE: A 48-year-old bicyclist from Wyckoff died following a collision with an SUV in Franklin Lakes, authorities said. The victim's bicycle and the 2020 Acura RDX driven by a 35-year-old borough woman collided at the intersection of Briarwoods Road at Bayberry Lane shortly before 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, Franklin Lakes Police Capt. A 62-year-old motorcyclist from Glen Rock was hospitalized after crashing in Waldwick over the New Year's weekend, authorities said.
