Bergenfield Parents Sue Over High School Lunchroom Attack That Ripped Daughter's Earlobe Open The parents of a Bergenfield High School student who had her earlobe ripped open during what they said was a planned lunchroom attack are suing students, the school, the district and the borough. Pedro and Stephanie Chevere allege in a lawsuit that a 15-year-old classmate “violently assaulted and battered” their daughter, then a sophomore, tearing her right earlobe in half and “viciously” punching and kicking her during the Nov. 19, 2019 attack.
