Fate Of $49.2 Bond — With $29M Option — For Becton Regional High School Determined By Taxpayers
One growing Bergen County high school is proposing a $49.2 million bond that would fund new construction and renovations, two years after a $55 million proposal was shot down by voters. Becton Regional High School serves students from East Rutherford, Carlstadt, and Maywood. Residents of East Rutherford and Carlstadt will vote on the proposed bond on March 12. Maywood, who in 2020 for the first time sent 340 of its students to BRHS, will not be voting but will contribute financially through its tuition contract if the bond is approved. A new learning center in Bergen County has discovered an innovative method to help give kids a STEM education. Bricks 4 Kidz recently opened a learning center at 530 Piermont Road in Closter. The franchise has 10 locations throughout the Garden State and has learning centers nationwide. Liberty Science Center High School One Step Closer To Jersey City Opening
The Liberty Science High School is one step closer to coming to Jersey City. The Hudson County Board of Education of the Hudson County Schools of Technology have developed a partnership in launching the school, Mayor Steven M. Fulop and the science center jointly announced Nov. 10.
