'Fun-Loving And Warm' Bergen County Native Dies After Being Found In Vehicle: Police
A Middletown woman died after she was found unconscious behind the wheel of a vehicle, authorities said. Middletown police responded to the report of a vehicle that drove off the road near the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Collinson Drive at around 12:36 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, the department said in a news release. Officers found 60-year-old Carol Calvano unresponsive and slumped over the steering wheel. After officers performed CPR, paramedics rushed Calvano to HMH Riverview Medical Center. Bergen County mom Marisa Aversa (Cucciniello) died Thursday, Sept. 20 after a three-year battle with breast cancer. She was 43 years old. Born in Westwood and raised in Montvale, Marisa lived in Massachusetts, Montana, Georgia and Florida before settling in Fair Lawn 12 years ago. A trained pastry chef and restaurant manager with a degree from the Culinary Institute of America, Marisa had worked as an office manager at Yankee Linen in Paterson for many years.
