'Helene Unravels:' Rainy Days Ahead For Some Eastern States After Hurricane
With rescue efforts from Hurricane Helene underway in southern states, showers are expected in northeastern states early this week, forecasters are saying.
The storm made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane last Thursday and left hundreds stranded by flooding and at least 95 people dead in Virginia, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, multiple news outlets report.
According to AccuWeather, Helene is expected to "unravel" over some mid-Atlantic and Northeastern states, bringing localized downpours, showers, and clouds through the end of the month.

10 Firefighters Injured, 19 People Displaced By Thanksgiving Blaze On Bergenline (Update)
Ten firefighters were injured and 19 people were displaced in a West New York fire on Thanksgiving, authorities said.
The blaze at a fire at 5222 Bergenline Ave., located above the Marin Pharmacy, broke out around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Footage posted to the Citizen app shows shooting through a window of a building at the corner of 53rd Street.
During suppression efforts, 10 firefighters were injured, including two seriously, Suarez said. One firefighter remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, the prosecutor said.

Nurse Details Attempted Rescue Of Jersey Shore Drowning Victim 'Way, Way Out'
At least three good Samaritans including an off-duty police officer, a nurse and a surfer helped try to rescue a drowning victim.
Dana Wolfanger of Wanaque tells Daily Voice she spotted a surfer trying to save Matthew Mauro, 46, on Wednesday, Sept. 14 off Ortley Beach. She then notice his body tossing in the strong currents "way, way out," she said.
"We were just sitting on the beach. We noticed people standing close to the shoreline," said Wolfanger, a nurse and former lifeguard.
