As President Joe Biden cruised to victory in New Jersey in the 2020 presidential election, he got some help from two counties that went his way after voting for former President Donald Trump in 2016: Morris and Gloucester. Morris County went to Biden, 51.14% to 46.90%, 153,881 votes to 141,134 votes. It was a remarkable turnaround for a county that hadn't voted Democrat at the presidential level since Lyndon Johnson defeated Barry Goldwater in 1964. Friends and loved ones are remembering a 33-year-old Passaic County resident who was killed in a crash in Atlantic County. Craig Doka of Oak Ridge was found dead in a vehicle that was on fire off Route 30 in Absecon on Sunday, Apr. 28, according to the Absecon Police Department. He was 33 years old. It was a Friday to remember for a lottery player in Bergen County. A ticket sold in Emerson matched five of the five white balls in the Mega Millions drawing on Friday, Jan. 19, winning $1 million.
