Jersey City Man Sought In PA Dad's Fentanyl Death: Prosecutors
Months after a Pennsylvania father of two died from a drug overdose, authorities are seeking his New Jersey coworker who they say gave him the bag. Steven Nitschke, 33, was found dead in his Stroudsburg home in March, and his cause of death was ruled fentanyl toxicity in his autopsy, said the Monroe County District Attorney's Office. County detectives claim Nitschke got the drugs from his 39-year-old coworker Edwin Burgos, who allegedly said it was heroin. Two grieving Paterson brothers must each bury a son this week following separate tragedies barely 48 hours apart. Jaheem Keith Alston, 19, of Paterson was gunned down in Middle Smithfield Township, near East Stroudsburg late Saturday, Pennsylvania State Police said. 19-Year-Old Teen Shot, Killed By Pennsylvania State Troopers On Route 80 Overpass
Pennsylvania state troopers shot and killed a 19-year-old man who refused to drop his weapon on a Route 80 overpass on Dec. 30 in Monroe County, authorities said. Troopers responded to the State Route 33 southbound overpass where they found Christian Joseph Hall was standing and clutching a gun around 1:40 pm, Pennsylvania State Police said.
