: Passaic County Heroin Dealer Gets 24 Years In Federal Prison
A high-level Passaic County drug dealer who flooded North Jersey and New York with heroin trafficked in from the Dominican Republic, Mexico and elsewhere must spend all of the next 24 years in federal prison. Yasmil "Animal" Minaya, 33, also will remain under supervised release, under the sentence imposed Monday by U.S. District Judge Kevin McNulty in Newark. Filip Babiuk, 25, Of Linden, Business Owner Who Was Recently Engaged
Filip Babiuk, A Clark resident who spent much of his life in Linden, died suddenly Sunday. He was 25. Born in Poland, Filip moved to Linden in 2005 before moving to Clark less than a year ago, where he owned and operated Stealth Pool Installations. Filip enjoyed swimming, sailing, skiing and dancing, and worked as a lifeguard in Avenel in high school. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 13 immigration violators in New Jersey during a four-day surge effort, the agency said. State authorities were reviewing harassment and immigration-fraud claims raised by former and current undocumented housekeepers at President Trump’s Garden State golf club in Bedminster, the Daily News reported Friday. The longtime owner of the El Bandido restaurants in Rockland, Orange and Essex counties, died on Friday, April 6 surrounded by his family at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. He was 79. Santiago Manuel Tello, a 20 year resident of Upper Saddle River, was born May 1, 1938, in Atlixco, Puebla, Mexico and emigrated to the U.S. in the mid-70's. ICE Puts Detainers On East Rutherford Restaurant Trio Charged In Gang Rape
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – ICE has placed detainers on three restaurant workers charged with sexually assaulting an incapacitated woman in East Rutherford. Records show that dishwasher Rene Jimenez, 29, and kitchen helper Emeterio Castelan, 25, are both Mexican citizens sharing an East Rutherford apartment across from the borough post office and a day-care center.
