An evicted tenant was arrested and charged with disturbing human remains several weeks after a landlord found a decomposed body in a trash bag at the Trenton home, authorities announced. David Gibson, 44, was charged with disturbing or desecrating human remains, tampering with evidence, and hindering, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said Wednesday, Jan. 18. A Pennsylvania woman is accused of hiring a hitman to try to kill her husband's ex-wife and the wife's 13-year-old daughter, authorities in New Jersey said. A college basketball player was shot and killed in a Mercedes Benz at a New Jersey nature preserve over the weekend, authorities said. Phillip Urban, 20, was found “slumped over in the driver’s seat” of a white Mercedes C300 on a trail at the Hopewell Valley Nature Preserve off of Harbourton-Woodsville Road around 7 p.m. Saturday, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. A 25-year-old New Jersey track star was shot and killed while behind the wheel of a vehicle Monday, Oct. 10, authorities said. Daveigh Brooks, of Ewing, was found having suffered gunshot wounds in the driver's seat of a black Ford fusion parked in the middle of Greeley Alley in Trenton around 9:25 p.m., Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. ‘Severely Burned’ Body Found Near NJ Cemetery, Investigation Underway: Prosecutor
An investigation is underway after a “severely burned” body was found near a New Jersey cemetery, authorities said. Officers responding to the area of Clover Avenue in Hamilton Township found severely burned human remains around 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Hamilton Police Division are leading the investigation. An autopsy is pending. A man and woman were charged after a traffic stop on the NJ Turnpike led to the discovery of more than 400 bricks of heroin and cocaine, authorities announced. Two teenagers were arrested by members of the US Marshals Office in a shooting that left two other teens dead last September in Trenton, authorities said.
