A day after learning of ballerina Michaela DePrince's sudden death, her family has revealed that her adoptive mom passed away within the following 24 hours, according to a Facebook post, and confirmed by the family to Daily Voice on Saturday, Sept. 14. Elaine DePrince of Cherry Hill, NJ died "after many years of battling a hereditary disease and heart failure," as stated in the post. She passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11. She was 77 years old.
