Teen Football Player Airlifted After Losing Feeling In Legs In Sussex County, Police Say
A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital after he was injured playing football on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 21, in Sussex County authorities said. At 8:11 p.m., the boy was playing football at Station Park in Sparta Township when he temporarily lost feeling in his legs, Sparta Township Police Captain Thomas Snyder said. An Atlantic Air helicopter transported the boy to Morristown Medical Center, Snyder said. The young athlete regained feeling in both legs before the helicopter arrived, but was still hospitalized for for further evaluation, Snyder said.

A Newark NJ transit worker has been asked to work remotely after coming in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, officials said. The employee did not come into work after having contact with the presumed positive patient, NJ Transit spokeswoman Nancy Snyder said. The employee works in the Capital Programs department and contacted Medical Services last weekend when they realized that someone they had contact with was later tested positive for the virus, officials said. A 67-year-old Passaic woman who walked out of a hospital overnight Thursday wearing only a light gown and yellow socks was found and returned before lunchtime, authorities said. A resident who found Yolanda Roa sleeping on a porch a few blocks from St. Mary's Hospital dialed 911 and a responding officer identified her, Passaic Police Chief Luis Guzman said. 3 Workers Extricated, 4 Hospitalized In New Milford Rollover Crash
Three people were extricated from their work van that had rolled onto its side after being struck by an elderly driver who failed to stop at a stop sign Monday morning in New Milford, authorities said. The 11 a.m. crash was caused by an 89-year-old Tenafly driver who blew the stop sign at Graphic Boulevard, hitting the work van carrying three men, Detective Lieutenant Kevin Van Saders said.
