Bergen County Hospitals Rank Among Safest In New Jersey New Jersey hospitals are among the safest in the nation, according to the fall 2024 Hospital Safety Grade report from The Leapfrog Group.  The Garden State ranks in the top 10 states for the highest percentage of "A" hospitals, joining states like Utah, Virginia, and Connecticut. County Breakdown: NJ Reports Record High Covid-19 Cases Since Onset Of Pandemic An additional 6,046 COVID-19 tests returned positive Sunday in New Jersey -- the highest number the state has seen in a single day since the onset of the pandemic in March. This is the third record-high for New Jersey this week, with 4,913 and 5,673 recorded on Thursday and Friday, respectively. Sixteen deaths were also reported.
