Juvenile In Custody For Threats Made Against Hackensack Schools
A juvenile is in custody after police say he made online threats of violence against multiple Hackensack schools on Saturday morning, Sept. 14. Police were made aware of the threats around 7:35 a.m. by school officials, Hackensack PD Capt. Michael Antista said. Following an investigation, a juvenile was charged with numerous juvenile delinquency offenses. The online threat, meanwhile, is unsubstantiated. HERO: A Hackensack driving school instructor fought off a violent carjacker as he tried to drag another tutor from her vehicle, authorities said. Adult students were taking lessons in the Stop & Shop parking lot on West Pleasantview Avenue when Isiah T. Pringle, 31, of Albany approached one of the vehicles, Capt. Darrin DeWitt said. UPDATE: Hackensack detectives arrested a city woman Tuesday in last week's viral video assault of a Staples customer who asked her to wear her COVID mask. Terri Thomas was charged with aggravated assault by city detectives who arrested her on Tuesday.
