A Guatemalan national living in Dumont who authorities said was drunk when he hit two pedestrians with his sedan at a busy Ridgefield intersection – seriously injuring one of them – was seized by ICE, records show. A 45-year-old Ridgefield pedestrian was struck in the crosswalk by a left-turning van Monday night, authorities said. The borough resident was brought to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren’t considered life threatening after he was struck by a 2016 Ford Traverse shortly after 8 p.m. as he crossed Broad Avenue at Edgewater Avenue, Deputy Police Chief Robert Meurer said. UPDATE: A pickup driver from North Bergen and a Ridgefield resident were both hospitalized with minor injuries after the truck slammed into a house, authorities said. Ridgefield detectives were trying to determine why the 2019 Dodge 1500 crossed over Edgewater Avenue from southbound Oak Street and barreled into the home just before noon on Monday, Deputy Police Chief Robert Meurer said. Fort Lee, Ridgefield Police Unite To Nab 3 In Stolen Car
Police chased a quartet of teens in a car stolen out of Connecticut from Fort Lee to Ridgefield before catching three of them. The fourth fled in a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee stolen from the parking lot of Ridgefield High School, they said. The overnight chase Thursday began after officers spotted the vehicle around 3 a.m., Fort Lee Capt. Matthew Hintze said Friday. The juveniles bailed out of the car near Edgewater Avenue and Oak Street, but police working together caught three of them while the fourth bolted in another direction.

RIDGEFIELD, N.J. -- A Ridgefield police officer nabbed a fugitive out of Newark who'd removed his house-arrest bracelet before fleeing, authorities said. Nori Howard, 26, was a passenger in a black 2011 Honda stopped by Officer Eustachio Fabrizio on westbound Edgewater Avenue for various equipment violations, Police Chief Thomas J.
