NJ Teen Edan Alexander Believed Among Hostages Taken By Hamas
A 19-year-old man from Bergen County remains missing, and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy says he may be among the hostages taken by Hamas. Edan Alexander, of Tenafly, was serving in the Israeli Defense Forces' Golani Brigade near the Gaza Strip and has not been heard from since the attacks on Saturday, Oct. 7, Murphy previously said. One of the casualties of the recent Hamas attacks in Israel was an Israeli men’s lacrosse player who played for the South Jersey team in the 2014 Youth Maccabi Games. Mor Cohen, 24, a Tel Aviv native, competed in Cherry Hill, according to the Israel Lacrosse Association (ILA). His body was found on Tuesday, Oct. 11, the ILA said in a statement.
