NJ's University Hospital Workers Fired Over Bogus Vaccination Cards
Several University Hospital employees have been fired over bogus COVID-19 vaccination cards, news reports say. Noticeable differences were spotted between the CDC-generated vaccination cards and the forged ones, the Newark-based hospital's president and CEO Dr. Shereef Elnahal told NJ Spotlight. Adenovirus: 11th Child Dies
A severely ill pediatric resident of the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation succumbed to the adenovirus Thursday night in an area hospital, New Jersey health officials said. The child was among 34 pediatric adenovirus cases that have been associated with the current outbreak, including a total of 11 deaths. “The grief from the loss of a child is overwhelming and we extend our deepest sympathies to this family and all of the families who have had to endure these terrible losses,” NJ Health Commissioner Dr. Shereef Elnahal said. Adenovirus: 9th Child Dead
Another medically fragile child with respiratory illness at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation died Saturday, bringing the total deaths among facility residents to nine, state officials said. Among the 25 confirmed adenovirus cases among residents, there have been eight pediatric deaths confirmed with adenovirus, according to the NJ Health Department. The department cannot confirm that the death of an individual who died Friday afternoon was related to the outbreak, officials said.
