A 31-year-old man was arrested after police say he was cursing at children and then attacked a nanny in a Hoboken park on Thursday, Oct. 31, Halloween, according to police and the nanny's family. Officers were called to Church Square Park around 12:30 p.m. where a man later identified Troy Timberlake had been cursing at children and elderly people, Hoboken City spokeswoman Marci Rubin. : Homeless Hoboken Man Exposed Himself On Park Bench, Police Say
A 32-year-old homeless man was arrested after police said he exposed himself in a public park in Hoboken on Friday, Aug. 25. Wander Torres has been charged with committing lewdness at Church Square Park, a city spokeswoman said. Police were called to the area near Fifth Street and Park Avenue at 10:40 a.m. after someone called police saying a man was exposing himself near the park entrance. Homeless Man Dies In Hoboken Park: Police
A homeless man was pronounced dead in a Hoboken park Monday, May 9. Police were called to Church Square Park in the early morning hours for the unresponsive man, Hoboken Police Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident was not believed to have been suspicious.

A 72-year-old Jersey City man was arrested after he threatened to kill a man in a public Hoboken park bathroom with a knife, authorities said. The Union city man told police he had stopped to use the Church Square Park bathroom at 400 Garden Street when he noticed Allen inside on Tuesday afternoon, Hoboken Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera said. The two began arguing over the use of a bathroom when Allen brandished a knife and threatened to kill the other man, Cabrera said.
