Details Released In Rockaway River Body Recovery Authorities have released details in the body that was recovered from the Rockaway River Monday morning.  Police were called to a portion of the river in Boonton where responders pulled a 71-year-old man's body from the ice around 9:50 a.m., Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Update: Female Body Pulled From Hackensack River This story has been updated. HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Authorities recovered a female body from the Hackensack River on Sunday, local police said. First responders arrived just after 10 a.m. following a report of an unidentified body in the water behind the Shops at Riverside, authorities said. The body was recovered at 12:20 p.m., Hackensack Lt. Darrin Dewitt told Daily Voice. Responders including the Hackensack police and fire departments, Oradell Fire Department, Bergenfield Fire Department and the Bergen County Sheriff's Office worked for more than two hours to recover the body.
