𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: An Elmwood Park firefighter was seriously injured rescuing a trapped guest through a second-floor window during an intense motel-room fire Wednesday. The firefighter and her colleagues had smashed the window to get to the victim during the late-morning June 12 blaze at the Townhouse Inn and Suites on eastbound Route 46, Elmwood Park Borough Administrator Michael Foligno said. Three vehicles were destroyed and three others damaged in a suspicious predawn fire Sunday at a used car dealership on Route 46 in Lodi. Lodi police arrived at 4:42 a.m. July 30 to find multiple vehicles in flames and the MTF Auction building off Money Street damaged. Firefighters had the blaze doused in under an hour. Corvette Ragtop Toasted In Ridgewood Garage Fire
A Corvette convertible was essentially incinerated in a Ridgewood garage fire. The owner apparently was charging the battery of the white 2017 Stingray when the blaze ignited in the detached home garage on Ackerman Avenue, down the block from Van Dyk's Homemade Ice Cream, around 7 p.m. Saturday, April 22. UPDATE: An elderly homeowner and her daughter's fiancé died in an overnight house fire in South Hackensack, authorities confirmed. The Agar Place fire broke out in the rear of the 1½-story home shortly after 3 a.m. and instantly spread, responders and neighbors said. Authorities turned to the public for help investigating a suspicious brush fire that broke out in Ridgewood over the weekend.
